Little Angels Primary School’s Exciting Half-Term Walk to Nyakibigi Hill

At Little Angels Primary School, tradition is at the heart of everything we do. One of our most beloved traditions is the Half-Term Walk, a special day when the entire school—teachers and children alike—comes together to enjoy the beauty of nature, bond with one another, and take a refreshing break from the classroom. This term, our journey took us to the breathtaking Nyakibigi Hill, and what an incredible day it was!

As the morning sun rose, excitement filled the air. Dressed in comfortable attire and armed with enthusiasm, the children and teachers set off on their much-anticipated adventure. Along the way, the fresh air and the scenic beauty of the countryside made every step enjoyable. Laughter and cheerful chatter echoed as students walked hand in hand with their friends and teachers, making memories that would last a lifetime.

Upon reaching the top of Nyakibigi Hill, everyone paused to take in the stunning view. The hilltop provided the perfect setting for relaxation and fun. The children spread out, engaging in various activities that brought joy and unity to the school community. Some danced to lively music, their faces glowing with happiness, while others sat in small groups, eagerly listening to captivating stories told by their teachers and peers. The storytelling session was filled with wonder, sparking imagination and creativity among the young minds.

The walk was more than just an outdoor excursion; it served a greater purpose. For the children, it was an opportunity to unwind, explore, and strengthen friendships outside the classroom. They learned valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and appreciating nature. For the teachers, it was a chance to connect with their students in a relaxed environment, fostering stronger relationships and understanding beyond academic lessons.

As the day came to an end, the group made their way back to school, their hearts full and spirits lifted. The Half-Term Walk to Nyakibigi Hill was a resounding success, leaving everyone eagerly looking forward to the next adventure. At Little Angels Primary School, we believe that education goes beyond textbooks—it’s about creating experiences that inspire, nurture, and bring joy to our learners. And this walk was a perfect reminder of why our school is a place where both learning and fun go hand in hand.
