Friday, 10th July 2026 was a remarkable and unforgettable day as the learners and staff of Little Angels Primary School paid a friendship and educational visit to Ruhanga Development School. The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two schools, promoting academic collaboration, and giving learners an opportunity to interact, learn, and build lasting friendships.

Upon our arrival, we received an exceptionally warm welcome from the pupils, scouts, and staff members of Ruhanga Development School. The joyful songs, cheerful smiles, and enthusiastic reception created an atmosphere of love and hospitality that immediately made everyone feel at home.

The day began with a delicious breakfast, after which we embarked on a guided tour of the school premises. We admired the beautiful learning environment, well-organized facilities, and the school’s commitment to providing quality education. The tour also included a visit to the renowned Uganda Lodge, where we learned that many visitors, especially tourists from Australia, choose to stay while supporting the vision and development initiatives of the School Director. It was inspiring to witness how education and community development can work hand in hand to create a positive impact.
One of the most inspiring moments of the visit was the address by the School Director. Speaking with the wisdom and care of a parent, he encouraged learners from both schools to live in peace, respect one another, and build meaningful friendships. He emphasized the importance of strengthening educational connections between the two institutions and reminded learners that success begins with discipline, hard work, and listening to their teachers. His words left a lasting impression on everyone present.

As lunchtime approached, we were treated to a mouth-watering meal that was enjoyed by both learners and teachers. Beyond the delicious food, the lunch created an opportunity for everyone to interact freely, share experiences, and deepen the bond between the two school communities.
The academic spirit of the day was further demonstrated through an exciting inter-school debate competition. The debate motion was “Knowledge is Better than Wealth.” Ruhanga Development School proudly proposed the motion, arguing that knowledge is the greatest asset a person can possess. Little Angels Primary School confidently opposed the motion, defending the position that “Wealth is Better than Knowledge.”

Both teams displayed excellent research, critical thinking, confidence, and public speaking skills while presenting their arguments with respect and professionalism. The debate was highly engaging, educational, and entertaining, reflecting the intellectual abilities of the learners from both schools. After careful evaluation by the adjudicators, Little Angels Primary School emerged victorious, making it a proud achievement and a memorable highlight of the visit. More importantly, the debate demonstrated that healthy academic competition can strengthen friendship, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.

The excitement continued in the afternoon as both schools gathered at Kakyizi Playground for games and sports. Learners and teachers enthusiastically participated in football and netball matches, displaying outstanding teamwork, discipline, determination, and sportsmanship. The playground was filled with laughter, cheering, and unforgettable moments as participants encouraged one another and celebrated every achievement. These activities reminded everyone that sports play an important role in promoting physical fitness, unity, cooperation, and friendship.

The visit to Ruhanga Development School was much more than an ordinary school trip. It was a celebration of friendship, learning, teamwork, leadership, and the power of collaboration. It provided learners with opportunities to exchange ideas, appreciate different learning environments, develop confidence, and create memories that will remain with them for many years.

As we concluded our visit and journeyed back home, we carried with us not only wonderful memories but also valuable lessons about unity, respect, academic excellence, and service to others. We sincerely extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Director, management, teachers, learners, and the entire Ruhanga Development School community for their exceptional hospitality, generosity, and warm reception.
May this visit mark the beginning of a lasting partnership between Little Angels Primary School and Ruhanga Development School, fostering continued collaboration, academic excellence, and friendship for generations to come.
